Students get up close with Waterloo Police and Fire Departments

Area high scholars are getting a glimpse into the lives of public safety personnel this week. It is part of the 2nd Annual Safety Services Career Camp in Waterloo.

From July 8th to 11th, students are being given the opportunity to learn about various disciplines within the Waterloo Fire and Police Departments.

Tuesday was K-9 unit day, but other demonstrations included firefighting, weapons handling, crime scene processing, bomb squad, and tactical team procedures.
