A Waterloo man was found dead in an apparent drowning Friday morning in Black Hawk County.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says 53-year-old Wilson Bolden, Jr. drowned in a farm pond at 3137 North Elk Run Road around 8 a.m. Friday.

An autopsy is scheduled at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Ankeny.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Waterloo Fire and Rescue.
