CENTRAL CITY (KWWL) -

The City of Central City is requesting volunteers to help sandbag due to flooding on the Wapsipinicon River.

Volunteers are asked to report to the Central City Fire Department, 137 Fourth Street North, at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to receive assignments.

Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes and are asked to bring sunscreen and water.

Task Force Member, Fred Abraham, has proposed the idea of reducing the maximum number of unrelated renters in a single-family home from four to three. He also think that any single family homes that are converted into rentals should either rent only to families or to no more than two unrelated people.
