WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A child is recovering after a near drowning incident at a Waterloo hotel Saturday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Rescue crews say a 5-year-old boy was swimming at the Comfort Inn on La Porte Road when he became unresponsive.

When he was pulled out of the pool, they say his mother did two rounds of CPR.
