Two people injured in motorcycle and pick-up accident in Black Hawk County

Two people are injured and another is in custody after an accident involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck.
It happened just after 9:30 Saturday night on Dubuque Road in Black Hawk County.
Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies said first responders on the scene found two people riding on a motorcycle in the ditch.
24-year-old Derek Martie and 20-year-old Katlyn Leekly of Jesup were taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to Iowa City.
Deputies said the driver of the pick-up truck, 22-year-old Bryan Cornwell of Oelwein, left the scene but was taken into custody eight miles farther down Dubuque Road for suspicion of operating while intoxicated.
The investigation continues and additional charges are pending.
