Cedar County crash kills one, injures six

CEDAR COUNTY (KWWL) -

An SUV crash in Cedar County Saturday morning killed one person and injured 6 others, including 3 children.  The crash happened around 8:30 along Interstate 80 near mile marker 272.  The Iowa State Patrol reports an SUV's rear tire went flat, causing the driver, 29-year-old Maria Ballines to lose control.  The SUV then rolled multiple times, then landed on the guard wire on the inside shoulder of the oncoming lanes.  A passenger, 21-year-old Ivon Orozco died.  5 other passengers were taken to an Iowa City hospital for treatment, including a 7-year-old girl, a 3-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl.  Their conditions have not been released.  All are from Oregon.
