Bucks win their 6th in a row

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

David Kerian drove in 2 runs and improved his league leading batting average to .414 as the Waterloo Bucks defeated St. Cloud 4-2 for their 6th straight victory.  The win moved the Bucks in to a first place tie with Willmar on top of the north division.

Kerian drove a ball in to the gap in right-center scoring Marcos Calderon for the first run of the ball game.  St. Cloud countered with a run in the third and a solo home run from Adam Martin in the 4th to take a 2-1 lead.

Kerian's second RBI came in the 5th with a single over the second baseman scoring Blake Hickman.  The Bucks drove in 2 more runs in the 7th while holding St. Cloud at bay to pick up the win.

    The UNI Panthers won their first meet as a Big 12 wrestling program, topping new conference foe North Dakota State. The 13th ranked Panthers clinched the meet in the final match of the day. Needing bonus points to secure the win, 141 pounder Josh Alber secured a 19-4 tech fall to give the Panthers a 21-19 team victory.
