WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Waterloo police arrested two people after an investigation into drugs and guns.

Captain Tim Pillack says officers searched a home at 525 Locust Street on Wednesday and found marijuana, money, guns and items used for drug trafficking.

According to Pillack, 29-year-old Rodney Gary, Jr. is charged with intent to deliver marijuana within one thousand feet of a school.

Pillack also says that 26-year-old Rose Rodriguez is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana within one thousand feet of a school and child endangerment.

According to Pillack, the child endangerment charge was filed because the guns and drugs were found about 15 feet away from the room a child was staying in.

Officers say the guns seized were a Luger 9mm Tec-9 with high capacity magazines and a Loracin .380 handgun and ammunition.
