WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The services provided by Seeds of Hope for years will soon be spread out to several different providers due to the restructuring of the Crime Victim Assistance Division during the last Iowa legislative session.

Seeds of Hope served victims in Grundy, Hardin, and Black Hawk counties, but those counties will soon be in separate divisions.

The transition period starts on July 1 and will last an estimated three months.

After that transition period, services for Black Hawk County domestic abuse victims will be helped by WayPoint, and services for Black Hawk County sexual assault victims will be helped by Riverview Center.

Also after that transition period, victims of both sexual assault and domestic abuse in Hardin and Grundy Counties will be helped at the Crisis Intervention Services.

Some transitional housing in Hardin County will still be under the care of Seeds of Hope while the Office on Violence Against Women figure out federal funding. Seeds of Hope will continue with those operations until further notice.
