READLYN (KWWL) -
It was a dramatic water rescue caught on camera.
"We weren't saying a specific prayer, just help us get out of here, help us," recalled Gina Tippetts of Waverly.
Tippetts said she was driving her SUV to Waverly during Wednesday's round of severe storms when her SUV hydroplaned and sent her into a flooded ditch.
Tippetts was with her mother, Martha, and 3-year old daughter Taelyn. Her mother had flown into Minneapolis from Mexico to spend time with her daughter and soon-to-be granddaughter as Tippetts is nine months pregnant.
"I kept on telling my mom I can't feel her move and she's not moving, and so when she finally gave her little kicks I was like oh my gosh, OK," said Tippetts.
Tippetts said their faith got them through scary moments as her SUV filled waist-high with water.
"We had little angels we couldn't see, and then ones that we could," she said.
The Tippetts said they were grateful for the first responders who risked their own lives to save theirs.
