CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Seven-year old Jacob Fresher has been fighting cancer for more than 2 years.

His grandmother Mary Kenyon said doctors in Iowa City have said there's not much they can do other than keep him comfortable and slow down the cancer that's in his lungs.

Jacob, a huge Star Wars fan, got to meet his heroes on Saturday including the actor who played Boba Fett, Jeremy Bulloch, and a group of Mandalorian Mercs.

The actor was in town for an event at The Core in Cedar Falls for a Star Wars celebration weekend.

Bulloch, who flew in from London with his wife, planned to sign autographs and take photos with the public on Saturday and Sunday at The Core from 12 - 5 p.m.

The Core owner Mike Blanchard organized a special hour for Jacob with Bulloch and the Mandalorian Mercs.

During that hour, Jacob took photos with the Star Wars characters, picked out souvenirs and got lots of autographs. He walked around the store with a smile, responding to the name, "Jacob Fett."

"He's a huge Star Wars fan," said Kenyon. "For him this is better than Disneyland!"

Kenyon said family members have set up a Facebook page detailing Jacob's fight with cancer: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Jacobs-Ladder/183700018319939.
