Trial dates set for 3 people accused of animal torture

Three people in Jesup accused of abusing a dog nicknamed Caleb are still awaiting trial in Buchanan County.

A.J. Sellers, Ty Hickman, and Kelsey Block are accused of torturing a dog to death and leaving the animal in a crate covered in its own feces.

According to court records, Sellers' attorney has asked for the charges to be thrown out. A hearing on that motion will be on July 5 at 9:30 a.m.

Hickman's jury trial will be on July 24 at 9 a.m., and Block will be in court on August 16 at 10 a.m.
