Researchers say they analyzed airborne molecules in the odors from human skin cells. They say they found a unique chemical signature for melanoma.

The method can tell the difference between normal skin cells and melanoma cells.

Scientists hope that someday it could lead to a non-invasive way to diagnose skin cancer.
