ALBURNETT (KWWL) -

Maintenance work will cause a one-hour disruption in Enhanced 911 land line service Thursday night for two eastern Iowa cities.

Residents of Alburnett and Robins in Linn County will not be able to call 911 on land line phones starting at 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Wireless service will not be affected.

The downtime is expected to last one hour, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.

During that time, land line users are advised to call (319) 398-3911 for emergencies.

The downtime is due to fiber optic maintenance being performed in Linn County by USA Communications.
