WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A Waterloo man remains hospitalized after an early morning shooting in Waterloo Wednesday.

John Joseph Sanford Jr., 37, was taken to an unnamed hospital. He was still hospitalized Wednesday morning.

Sanford called police to 1127 West Seventh St. around 1:50 a.m. Wednesday after being shot while sitting in the driver's side of a vehicle.

Paramedics with Waterloo Fire Rescue found Sanford with a gunshot wound to his right side and transported him to the hospital.

No arrests have been made.
