Windows in the workplace may impact health

Posted: Updated:

If you are inside an office all day, having a window may be helpful to your health, according to a report from NBC News.

Researchers at Northwestern University studied close to 50 office workers. Half of which had offices with windows, while the others worked in a windowless environment.

Those who had a window were found to get more sleep at night, were more physically active and had a higher quality of life. They were also exposed to more white light during the day.

According to experts, this study is not definitive in finding that having a window caused these health benefits, and more studies are planned.
