CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

The name of a five-year-old, who died this weekend after falling into a creek, has been released.

Christopher Morrison, Junior went missing on Friday night.

Cedar Rapids Police say the autistic child had a love for the water and wandered outside to a creek at which he loved to play. Morrison slipped into the Indian Creek and drowned.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

Police say no foul play is suspected.

In a press release from the police, the family encouraged parents of all children speak to their children about water safety and reminded parents to remember to hug their children.
