The Columbus girls tennis team got it done again defeating Red Oak 5-2 for the class 1A state tennis championship. The title was the second for the team in the past three years.
The Sailors got the ball rolling right away winning 4 of the 6 singles matches. They'd only need one win in doubles to finish out. That came from Ashley Sinnott and Gabby Greco who defeated their opponents 6-3, 6-1.
The championship was the 15th in school history for the Sailors.
