Iowa City Regina left no doubt on Saturday defeating Dyersville Beckman 4-0 to win the class 1A boys state soccer championship.
The two teams played to a fairly even first half. Regina's A.J. Adam scored the opening goal on a breakaway. Beckman, however, nearly tied it up as a shot off the foot of Adam Noethe hit both posts before bouncing out.
Regina owned the second half, first scoring on a penalty kick. Adam quickly added his second of the game while Aaron Schmitz would add the capper. The win was somewhat redeeming for the Regals after they lost in the semifinals as the top ranked team last season.
