American Red Cross offering assistance across Eastern Iowa

The American Red Cross is deploying teams across Eastern Iowa to help those impacted by the recent flooding.

Flood clean-up kits, which contain supplies like buckets, mops and rubber gloves are being delivered to Cedar Rapids, Tama County and Marshall County.

Kits are currently available at the Red Cross offices in Waterloo and Ottumwa. Iowa County has also requested kits.

The Red Cross is preparing to open a shelter in Johnson County and is on standby in Butler County if they are needed to open a shelter there.

Damage assessment teams are traveling to Dunkerton and Walker on Friday afternoon.
