Class 3-A got underway Thursday night with top seeded Iowa City West facing Cedar Rapids Washington.

West got on the scoreboard first as Ben Troester knocked home the penalty kick. The Trojans would win 3-0 and would face the winner of Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Sioux City West.

In the first half, off the free kick, Kennedy's Andrew Sheeley just gets it over the goalkeeper.

The Cougars would go on to get the 2-1 win.

Earlier in the day -- in Class 2-A -- Waverly-Shell rock would go after their first win in the tournament, facing ADM.

Go-Hawks already up 2-0 in the second half as Tanner Hanks drives one home. The Go-Hawks get it done 3-1.

In class 1-A, top seeded Dyersville Beckman against Des Moines Christian.

Beckman's Adam Noethe broke up a scoreless tie late in the first half as the Blazers moved on with a 3-0 win.

But the tourney would end for the defending 1-A champion Columbus Sailors.

West Liberty's Rafael Ibarra would give the comets a 2-0 second half lead -- as they'd hold on for the 2-1 win.
