WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The heavy rains and high river levels will impact some popular events at My Waterloo Days this year.

In the past, the Dragon Boat Races and the Waterhawks Ski Show both took place on the river.

This year, organizers have decided to move the Dragon Boat Races.

The event will instead take place at the Riverview Recreational Area off of Mitchell Avenue.

The Waterhawks Ski Show has canceled their show. Organizers say if you bring your 'My Waterloo Days' button to their June 9 event, you will get in for free.

Waterloo Days attendees may remember the four-day event got off to a soggy start last year but ended on a high note with thousands turning out for Saturday's events.

If you're headed down to this year's events there's an app for that. Get the latest events and locations by searching Cedar Valley Hot Spots on your Android or IPhone.

---------------

This story has been revised to include the correct date for the June 9 Waterhawks Ski Show event.
