WATERLOO (KWWL) -

After 12 years with the Waterloo Black Hawks, team president Doug Miller announced his resignation Monday night.  Miller posted news of his resignation on his facebook page.

"It was one of the most difficult decisions in my life, but I know it was the correct one," said Miller.

He didn't give a reason for the move or say what his future holds.  Miller had been with the Black Hawks since 2001 and was promoted to his current position as president in 2009.

He concluded his announcement by saying, "looking forward to my next new adventure, but will always be a Black Hawk."
