CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Volunteers from a Cedar Falls church are back in Iowa after assisting disaster relief efforts in Oklahoma.

Members of the Cedar Heights Baptist Disaster Relief Team spent three days working in Moore and neighboring cities like Shawnee and New Castle.

Ten people helped with various clean-up projects, working alongside aid organizations like Samaritan's Purse.

While in Oklahoma, the team also built relationships with victims and other volunteers. The team even met aid workers who were in Cedar Falls during the flood of 2008.

This is not the first service trip of this kind the Cedar Heights Disaster Relief Team has taken. Two years ago, some of the same individuals traveled to Joplin, Missouri, to assist in recovery following their devastating tornado.
