DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

A Dubuque man is accused of pretending to be a police officer to allegedly gain access into a home to beat up two boys.

Authorities report 21-year-old Christian Laugesen of Dubuque was arrested on May 24th on charges of first-degree burglary, impersonation burglary, impersonation of a public official and fifth-degree criminal mischief.

According to the Telegraph Herald in Dubuque, the impersonation happened on Hillcrest Road on May 12th when Laugesen allegedly had a physical fight with two boys and was kicked out of his ex-girlfriend's home.

Police said he returned later, knocked on the door, claimed to be a police officer and forced his way in to beat up the boys.
