Coralville bank robbed Friday morning; Marion woman arrested

CORALVILLE (KWWL) -

A Marion woman was arrested Friday after she allegedly robbed a Coralville bank Friday morning.

Jennifer Lee Redmond, 34, of 1115 Brockman Ave., Marion, was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree robbery and failure to display registration plate.

Coralville Police say Redmond walked into the U.S. Bank in Coralville at around 10:22 a.m. Friday and presented a note demanding cash while pointing a pistol at the teller.

Redmond then allegedly fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.

Based upon information from witnesses, police stopped a white Toyota Sequoia being driven without license plates by Redmond.

Redmond is being held in the Johnson County Jail awaiting her initial appearance.

Assisting Coralville Police were Iowa City Police, University of Iowa Police, Marion Police, North Liberty Police and the FBI.
