Green Bay Packers visit Dubuque

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Green Bay Packers visited fans in Dubuque Thursday evening.

They appeared at the Grand River Center in the Port of Dubuque as part of the eighth annual Tailgate Tour. This is the first time in the history of the tour the Packers have made a stop in Iowa.

In each of the five cities they visit, the Packers raise money for a cause. In the Dubuque area, they raised thousands of dollars for Camp Albrecht Acres, which is a camp outside Sherrill for people with disabilities.

Thursday evening, hundreds of people decked out in their green and gold finest came to meet the team.

The Packers embark upon the Tailgate Tour every year to greet their fans and some of the 360,000 shareholders who own the team. The Green Bay Packers are the only publicly-owned team in the NFL.
