WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Iowa State Cyclone Tailgate Tour paid a visit to the Cedar Valley Wednesday night.

It's the sixth year of tailgate tour which gives grass roots fans a chance to meet and mingle with their favorite coaches up close and personal.

The "Mayor", Iowa State head basketball coach Fred Hoiberg and Cyclone head football coach, Paul Rhoads both entertained long lines of autograph seekers.

The Cyclone football team opens the season on August 31st at Jack Trice Stadium against the UNI Panthers-- a game that Rhoads says is an important game for the fans.
