Marion Police are asking the public's help in finding a suspect they say robbed a bank in Marion on Monday morning.

Police responded to a report of a bank robbery at about 10 a.m. Monday at the Farmers State Bank branch at 1380 Twixt Town Road in Marion.

Reports indicate an individual robbed the bank while displaying a handgun.

No one was injured in the robbery. Police did not say how much or if any money was taken.

Police are looking for a newer, white SUV-type vehicle with yellow tape over the front and rear license plates. A section of blue tarp was also observed by witnesses hanging out of the driver's side door.

The vehicle left and went northbound on Lindale Drive toward West Eighth Avenue in Marion.

Anyone with knowledge of the vehicle's whereabouts or information about the bank robbery is asked to call the Marion Police Department at (319) 377-1511 or Linn County CrimeStoppers at (800) CS-CRIME (272-7463).

A reward is available for information leading to an arrest.
