Kirkwood Community College says they will graduate the most students in their history this weekend.

Officials say 512 students will graduate from the GED/adult high school program on Friday night and 2,476 will graduate from the college credit program on Saturday morning.

The total of 2,988 graduates is the highest total in the school's 47-year history.

The 2,476 students in the college credit program represent 81 counties in Iowa, 21 states and 32 countries. The youngest graduate is 18 years old and the oldest is 63 years old.

The GED/adult high school program commencement will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The college credit program commencement will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.

Both graduation ceremonies are free and open to the public.
