CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Car enthusiasts, prepare to salivate.

More than 40 classic cars rolled through the state of Iowa this weekend.

A caravan of cars from the 1930s and '40s stopped in Anamosa and Cedar Rapids on Saturday.

One hundred members of the Classic Car Club of America are driving these high-end, custom-made vehicles across the country over a span of three weeks.

The group is traveling the original Lincoln Highway for most of the trip, which was opened 100 years ago.

Drivers say there's nothing like riding in one of these classics.

"My car is 72 years old or 73 years old, basically it drives 70 miles an hour, it's pretty sporty, and it handles beautifully," said Ray Giudice, a member of the Classic Car Club of America.

Among the caravan was a 1940 Packard Darrin 180, one of 11 ever made.

Many of the cars are selling for between $600,000 and $700,000 today.
