Saints win game of Clark Cup Championship 4-1 over Fargo

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Dubuque Fighting Saints gave up an early goal, but responded with 4 goals in the next 24 minutes to beat Fargo 4-1 in game one of the Clark Cup Championship series in Dubuque.

The Fighting Saints got two goals from Mike Szmatula and one from Niklaus Nevelainen in the first period.  And then John Stevens added a shorthanded goal in the second period as Dubuque improves to 6-0 in postseason play at home.  Game two is tomorrow night in Dubuque.
