A new immigration bill in Washington, D.C. is sparking criticism from Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley Thursday.
The bi-partisan bill was made by the so-called gang of eight.
It outlines a pathway to citizenship for most of the 11-million undocumented immigrants in the United States.
"I disagree with the sales pitch. Unfortunately it looks too much like the 1986 bill which failed to take care of the problems we're now trying to solve," Grassley said. "It falls short of what I want to see in the strong immigration reform bill so you will hear me say many times that we shouldn't make the same mistake we made in 1986."
The Senate Judiciary Committee is still working to refine the legislation.
