Woman injured after car crash in Waterloo neighborhood

A woman was taken to the hospital after police say she crashed a car into a tree Tuesday night in Waterloo.
It happened at about 11 in the 600 block of Cottage Street.
Police say a car crashed into a tree. A woman who was driving the car at the time of the crash was taken to Allen Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not released her name.
In addition, police say no one else was in the vehichle. Through an investigation, it was determined the driver had left from an address in the 400 block of Columbia Street with a serious injury to her arm.
According to a report, she drove through an alley, yards, hit a street sign and then crashed into the tree. The crash remains under investigation.
