Cedar Rapids condominium complex damaged by fire

Two people were injured and 17 people forced to find another place to live after a fire Sunday evening at a condominium complex in Cedar Rapids.

Fire crews were called around 7:30 p.m. to Shamrock Condominiums on Jacolyn Dr. SW.

They say heavy smoke was coming from one of the apartments when they arrived.

A 27-year-old man who lives in the apartment was injured.

A neighbor's medical condition was aggravated.

Both are expected to be okay.

It's not clear what started the fire which forced residents out of the 15-unit complex.
