Cedar Falls Superintendent selection process moves forward

The Cedar Falls Schools Superintendent application deadline has passed.

Thursday was the last day Cedar Falls Schools accepted applications for their future superintendent.

Meanwhile, Cedar Falls School Board members assembled for a special work session. They met with consultants from McPherson and Jacobson, Dr. Richard Sunblad and Dr. Wayne Rand, who are helping facilitate the hiring process. Both Sunblad and Rand, former superintendents themselves, met with a variety of people involved with the school district recently and gathered feedback on what the community desires from the process.

Board members are making organizational preparations in anticipation of selecting their candidates, which will happen during a meeting on May 16. Those candidates will visit Cedar Falls the week of May 20-24 for interviews and related meetings.
