The Linn County Sheriff's Office says a Cedar Rapids man was injured when he lost control of his car on the on-ramp to southbound I-380 from Center Point.

Deputies were called to the ramp from Lewis Access Road to I-380 southbound at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.

According to deputies, 74-year-old Terry L. Stonewall lost control of his car, went through a ditch and through a fence and stopped about 25 yards into a farm field.

Stonewall was taken to St. Luke's Hospital with minor injuries.

Deputies say Stonewall was wearing his seat belt and there were no passengers in his car.

The accident remains under investigation.
