WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A Waterloo man is charged with a hate crime for allegedly beating another man outside a Waterloo bar.

Waterloo police say the incident happened March 23rd outside the Packers Inn on Rath Street in Waterloo.

Police arrested 27-year-old Mitchael Baruth Friday.

They say Baruth had seen two men kissing in the bar and followed one of the men into the parking lot.
