LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -
Alliant Energy customers in Linn and Cedar Counties were without power late Sunday night.
A company spokesperson tells KWWL the outage happened at about 11:30 p.m., and more than 5,000 customers were without power. All customers in Cedar county had their power return at about 1:15 a.m. However, more than 1,000 customers in Linn County are still without power.
An official says a substation that feeds out power to those customers gave out.
Crews are working to restore power, and there currently is no estimate as to how long it will take before customers have their power restored.
