Black Hawks drop Fargo 6-4, take 2-1 series lead

Waterloo used a 7-2 advantage in penalties, scoring twice on the power play, to take down Fargo 6-4 Saturday afternoon in Young Arena.  The win gave the Black Hawks a 2-1 advantage in the best of 5 series.

The Black Hawks had to come back twice in the game.  Waterloo trailed 2-0 after the first period, but got 2 goals from Vinny Hinostroza and another from Marc Friedman in a 2 and a half minute span to regain a 3-2 advantage.

Waterloo fell behind again 4-3 in the 3rd period, but Ryan Papa and Chris Leibinger scored 1:23 apart to regain the lead for good.  Hinostroza added an empty netter to become just the 11th Black Hawk player to record a post season hat trick.

The Black Hawks can close out the series when they host game 4 on Tuesday night.
