Cedar Rapids firefighters say an alert neighbor noticed a fire at a home in Cedar Rapids Friday night. Fire crews say 23-year-old Walter Robidoux saw an orange glow underneath his neighbor's home at 428 Duke St. SW. After telling his girlfriend to call emergency officials, they say he knocked on the door, alerting 37-year-old Brandy Reece that there was a fire in her home. Reece left her home and firefighters arrived shortly afterward. They quickly extinguished the blaze. However, much of the manufactured home received damage. Reece, her 12-year-old son, and the family cat were displaced by the fire. It's not clear what caused it.
