Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance Presents The Kennedy Center's John Abodeely on April 30
The Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance (ICCA) will present "Building Future Audiences", sponsored by the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, on Tuesday, April 30, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in Theatre B at the UI Theatre Building, 200 N. Riverside Drive, Iowa City.
The event will feature guest speaker John Abodeely, Program Manager of National Partnerships at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Mr. Abodeely will discuss the latest research in arts education, including information on best practices and successful model programs around the country. This event is open to the community.
John Abodeely serves the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network, a national consortium of state organizations that advance policies, administrate programs, and manage the political dimensions of improving access to arts education. He manages elements of Any Given Child, a program that increases equity in education through trans-institutional coordination of educational and cultural assets. Mr. Abodeely also manages teaching artist training programs, relationships with peer organizations, and partnership development initiatives.
