Sandbagging underway in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY (KWWL) -

Heavy rain is causing flash flooding in multiple areas in the KWWL viewing area.

In Johnson County, sandbagging is underway in Solon, with sand and sandbags available for residents at the Solon Public Works, located at 1031 Stinocher Street.  For questions or additional information, contact Solon City Hall at 319-624-3755.

North Liberty is seeing flash flooding.  Viewers have submitted photos of hail between the Coralville and Tiffin area this morning as well.

Flash flood warnings have also been issued in Cedar County, Washington County, Keokuk County, and Iowa County.
