DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Dubuque Fight Saints Head Coach Jim Montgomery will soon be the new head man at the University of Denver.  WCSH-TV out of Portland, Maine, reported that Montgomery has accepted the Pioneers' head coaching position and is working out contract details.  The school has set a press conference for Monday to introduce their new head coach.

Montgomery has led the Fighting Saints to three consecutive playoff appearances and one Clark Cup Championship in 2011.  Under his watch, Dubuque has also won two division titles, while his current team won this season's Anderson Cup as the team with the best regular season record in the USHL.

Fighting Saints officials have said that Montgomery did interview for the position, but have yet to confirm that he's taken the job.
