Missouri Valley to add Loyola

Posted:
CHICAGO (KWWL) -

The Missouri Valley is set to add Loyola of Chicago to remain at 10 teams.  The move comes as a response to Creighton's departure in to the new Big East Conference.

Multiple reports surfaced over the weekend saying Loyola of Chicago has accepted an invitation from the league.  The Ramblers are currently members of the Horizon League.

Loyola's enrollment tops 15,000, while the Ramblers play in a recently renovated arena.  However, in men's basketball, the MVC's marquis sport, Loyola has just 3 winning seasons out of the last 11 years.

Missouri Valley and Loyola officials have yet to confirm the reports of the school's move to the MVC.
