Hundreds walked Friday evening and Saturday morning to raise money for the American Cancer Society. It's the annual UNI Relay For Life event.
The annual Relay for Life is being held at the McLeod Center at the University of Northern Iowa.
Luminaries lined the upper level of the concourse in honor of those who have been directly impacted by cancer. Meanwhile participants walked laps and were treated to entertainment throughout the night.
Going into the evening, participants raised over $60,000. Their goal is $111,000. Event organizers are hopeful they will reach their goal.
