WAVERLY (KWWL) -

Dogs from around the Midwest are showing off their athletic talents in Waverly this weekend. It is all part of the Outrun Flyball Club Tournament at The Centre.

Dogs and their masters compete in the sport of flyball, which has been described as drag racing for dogs. These four-legged competitors are split into teams of four. Each dog runs one leg of a relay, hurdling over jumps, retrieving a tennis ball, and sprinting back to its master.

The competition continues through the weekend and is open to the public. Admission is free.
