Van Buren County residents concerned about Ku Klux Klan fliers

Some residents in a southeast Iowa community have complained about Ku Klux Klan recruiting fliers.

People have found fliers inside plastic bags beneath mailboxes in Van Buren County.

The sheriff says he has received a total of 20 complaints spanning at least three communities.

Frank Ancona of Missouri is taking responsibility for the fliers. He says he has been the Imperial Wizard of the group for five years and has really pushed recruiting.

The group's website says the group is a "white, patriotic Christian organization that bases its roots back to the Ku Klux Klan of the early 20th century."
