DES MOINES (KWWL) -

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a laser incident at the Des Moines International Airport.

The FAA says it happened Monday night when a plane was flying near Des Moines.

The plane's crew reported seeing a green laser flash in the cockpit of the plane.

It's not known if the pilot or anyone else was injured.

Similar laser incidents have been reported across the country. Authorities say it is a federal crime to disrupt a plane crew.
