WATERLOO (KWWL) -

One day after clinching a spot in the post season, the Waterloo Black Hawks kept up their hot streak with a 7-1 stomping of the Des Moines Buccaneers.  The win was the 6th in a row for Waterloo.

The outcome was never in doubt.  Waterloo opened with 3 unanswered goals in the first period.  Vince Hinostroza, Liam Pecararo, and Justin Kloos each found the back of the net as the Black Hawks stormed out of the locker room.

Taylor Cammarata fed Mike Huntibrinker for a 4-0 lead in the second.  Cammarata tallied 2 assists on the night and became the team's all-time leader in that category with 96 over his 2 seasons.

Waterloo rounded out the night by getting a pair of goals from Zach Stepan and another from Tim Lappin.  The win moved the Black Hawks one point ahead of Lincoln for third in the standings.  They finish the regular season with a pair of games at Indiana.
